We have built systems that can answer almost anything and still cannot tell us what is worth doing. The AI Republic takes that gap seriously. Written as a dialogue, it works through the questions that sit underneath the current arguments about artificial intelligence: what counts as knowledge, who is accountable for a decision nobody made alone, and what we lose when judgment is delegated by default rather than by choice.
It is not a book about models, and it is not a book against them. It is an attempt to think clearly about authority in a world where the most persuasive voice in the room may have no stake in the outcome.
