The credential is issued by Oxethica, a vendor certification body. It recognises completion of the AI Ethics, Regulation & Compliance programme delivered as executive education at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. It is not a University of Oxford award, and executive education of this kind confers no alumnus status.
The certification sits behind Samraj Matharu's work encoding ethical constraints — attention quality, carbon intensity — directly into automated bidding systems, and behind his writing and speaking on where AI decisions should and should not be delegated.
